Discipline, self-defense, and real Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for ages 8 to 12. The kind of training that builds the kind of person you'd be proud to raise.
Our 8-12 class trains both Gi and No-Gi. At this age, kids are ready for real Jiu-Jitsu — escapes, takedowns, control positions, and the foundational submissions. Taught with structure, taught with care.
This is the age where Jiu-Jitsu compounds. Kids who start here arrive at high school with years of experience handling pressure, working with teammates, and standing up to the kind of physical conflicts that define the bullying years.
Taught by black belts and experienced grappling coaches in the Tom DeBlass lineage — running through Ricardo Almeida to Renzo Gracie. The teaching is real. The room is supportive. The results show up at school, at home, and on the mat.
8 to 12 is when habits stick. Our class is built to make discipline, focus, and self-respect feel as natural as breathing — without ever feeling like a lecture.
Both training modes — Gi for the technical foundation, No-Gi for the modern game. Plain white Gi for Gi class. Rash guard and shorts for No-Gi.
Real grappling fundamentals — control, escapes, distance management. The kind of Jiu-Jitsu that handles real situations, not the make-believe kind.
Show up on time. Bow on the mat. Listen to the coach. Help your partner. The mat habits become school habits — and parents notice within months.
Every class is taught by experienced instructors from our Tom DeBlass-affiliated team.
For kids who want to test themselves, we have a competition pathway — local tournaments, NAGA, IBJJF Kids. Always optional, never required.
$110/mo unlimited youth. No contract. Family discounts. Try a class before you decide — your child is the one who has to want to come back.
Their first class is on us. The hardest step is walking through the door — once they're on the mat, the room takes care of them.
