An advanced training environment for serious students. Faster pace, tournament-rules randori, scored live training. You don't have to compete to attend — but if you do, this is where you sharpen.
At MOBJJ, we believe Jiu-Jitsu is for everyone — regardless of any interest in competing. But for those who do want to compete, we offer a specialized class dedicated to competition training.
Each session begins with a dynamic warm-up to prepare your body for the challenges ahead. We then focus on faster-paced techniques and drills used in competitive scenarios. During live training (randori), you apply your skills in simulated competition settings — with immediate feedback and live scoring.
This class is geared toward competition, but you do not need to be a competitor to attend. The goal is to provide a more advanced training environment for individuals seeking a higher level of instruction and challenging workouts.
Your safety is our top priority. All training is conducted in a controlled and supportive atmosphere — sharper pace, same respect for the room.
The drills used in competition are different from technique class. Faster, less explanation, more reps under load. This class trains the version of you that shows up to the tournament.
Live rolls scored under IBJJF / ADCC rules. Points, advantages, penalties — you learn to read your position the way a referee does, and what to do when you're up or down.
Cardio holes get exposed. Comfort positions get stress-tested. The class is designed so you fail safely and learn from it — far better than discovering it on a tournament day.
You don't need to be signed up for a tournament. Many of our most consistent competition-class attendees never compete — they just want the sharper room.
Whether you have aspirations of competing or simply want to enhance your Jiu-Jitsu journey, the competition class is open. Drop in once and see what the room is like.
