Shorts.
A clean shirt.

For your free trial class, you don't need to buy anything. Just show up in comfortable shorts (no zippers or rivets) and a clean T-shirt or rash guard. We've got the rest.

A1

Adult uniform.

For adult classes you'll wear a clean T-shirt or rash guard with shorts. Grappling shorts (no pockets) are preferred. Jean shorts and shorts with rivets are not permitted. Sleeveless T's and crop tops aren't permitted.

A2

Rash guards & shorts.

Once you decide to keep training, a couple of rash guards and grappling shorts will last you for years. We have some recommendations for you linked below.

W1

Women's uniform.

The same as men's. If you prefer, you may wear leggings or spats instead of shorts. Women's-cut rash guards are widely available — just ask.

K1

Kids' uniform.

Plain white Gi for Gi class. Plain rash guard + shorts for No-Gi. Use the brand size charts to fit your child — Gis run a little long. We'll adjust if it's off.

K2

Kids gear pieces.

Kids Gi (white). Kids rash guard. Kids shorts. We sell Mooresville Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu-branded kids gear at the front desk if you want the team look.

H1

Hygiene.

Wash all training clothes after every class. Shower before and after. Keep your nails short — long nails cause injury and infection during grappling. We clean the mats daily without exception.

For women

If you'd prefer, you may wear leggings or spats instead of shorts. Women's rash guards are also available on our website.

Kids gear. Sized to grow.

Plain white Gi for Gi class. Rash guard and shorts for No-Gi. Use the brand size charts — Gis run a little long, but we'll adjust if it's off.

After class

Here are some tips on keeping your new threads fresh.

Wash same-day. Add a splash of Odoban. Hang dry. Five quick rules and your gear lasts longer — and your training partners thank you.

You don't need a Gi for your first class.

Show up in shorts. We handle the rest.

Borrow a rash guard if you forget. The hardest step is the first one in the door — not the gear.
