How we train
/ 01 Technique

Drilled until it works under live pressure — not just on a still partner.

/ 02 Pressure

Top game, smother passes, and the kind of weight that wins in competition.

/ 03 Precision

Black-belt detail on every grip, frame, and angle — small things, big results.

/ 04 Connection

A welcoming room of training partners who become lifelong friends.

No ego. Just the work.

This is why members stick around for years. Real reasons pulled straight from the 119+ five-star reviews on our Google profile.

01

Black belt instruction.

Five full black belts on staff. Tom DeBlass affiliate — lineage runs through Ricardo Almeida and Renzo Gracie. Every class is taught by people who've put it on the line, not by hobbyists with a fresh certificate.

02

Welcoming room.

"Everyone is very welcoming. They want you to learn and progress." That's a real review. We're known across Mooresville for being one of the most beginner-friendly rooms in the state.

03

Pricing without games.

No contracts. No sign-up fees. No promotion charges. Family discounts. $140/mo adult, $110/mo youth — that's it. If Mooresville Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu isn't for you, you walk away the day you decide.

04

We give back.

Free weekly class for first responders, veterans, and teachers (Heroes Jiu-Jitsu). Free training to active-duty patrol officers up to blue belt (Adopt A Cop BJJ). Zero PR — we just believe it's the right thing to do.

★★★★★

The techniques are rock solid. The people are having fun on the mats. The coaches encourage you to ask questions and will explain little details until you get it. I wholeheartedly recommend MoBJJ. They will make you a better grappler and a better human being.

5 stars is an understatement! The instructors are skilled and supportive, the facilities are clean. Classes strike a perfect balance between technique and sparring.

My 5 year old daughter absolutely loved all of the coaches. They are so great with that age group! We came in not knowing anything about the sport and we learned so much.
